Join FCS in our bid to surf as much as we can for the month of Feb and in the process help fund cancer research.

Surfebruary is an initiative that is close to home for us at FCS as one of its original founders is our Head of Product, Mike Durante. Being raised near the water and knowing firsthand the positive and restorative impact the ocean can have, not only in the darkest of times but in day to day life; he along with the other founders have aimed to encourage people to get into the water and experience their own transformation, and while doing so helping support cancer research.

Richie Lovett, former world tour competitor and another of FCS’s long standing employees has experienced on more than one occasion the difficulties that come with cancer diagnosis and the journey to recovery. A Surfebruary ambassador, he values the role surfing can play in assisting the recovery process.

“If I can bring some awareness to cancer prevention and research, and also help acknowledge the amazing work of our doctors and nurses, specialists and support staff at Chris O’Brien Life House, then I’m all in. And if that means surfing and immersing myself in the ocean every day for a month… Let’s do this!”

Register yourself or your team today. You’ll be fitter, healthier and happier knowing that the simple pursuit of jumping in the ocean is making a difference to the lives of others.

100% of the money raised by participants is aimed at funding the very best cancer research, clinical trials, treatment and care for our patients and their families.
