Sky opted to choose an existing template that matched her surfing style and will allow her to continue progressing and perfecting her turns. After testing a range of different fins, Sky landed on the versatile Accelerator Small template.
Mirroring the FCS II Accelerator template this fin has a fuller tip offering a balance of speed, flow & response with added control. For that reason, it’s suited to a wide range of conditions and surfing styles, but it’ll excel when performing critical turns in overhead waves. This is the ideal travel fin that’ll work in any modern-style surfboard, and it’s suited to surfers who like to attack the wave and perform aggressive turns.
Suited to most modern twin models, the Power Twin has proven to be one of the most popular and versatile twin templates of the past decade. It can be used as a straight twin with a stabiliser, or in an asymmetrical set up. Moderate sweep (rake), full tip and the longer base delivers incredible drive and speed with a real reliable feel when driving through your turns. Fast, loose yet dependable when you put the pressure on, this is the ultimate twin template.
This upright keel template is designed primarily for traditional fish shapes, but the application extends to contemporary keel shapes as well. It has a lower sweep (rake) than most conventional, wider based keels which allows it to pivot in a really tight radius. The high area and depth not only deliver a feeling of control when pushed harder on the open face, but helps to maintain tremendous speed through roundhouse cutbacks.
Designed to deliver a well-balanced feel across a wide range of boards and conditions. For that reason, it’s considered super versatile, offering a combination of drive, speed and response for modern longboards and mid-lengths. The 9” version is perfect for longboarding and seamlessly connecting turns as you move up and down the board. The 7” version is a great option for mid-length and single fin models alike. The Connect template is also compatible with a range of side bytes.
