The H4 looks and surfs different to any other fin. Precision Swiss engineering matched with a highly evolved template provides an unprecedented level of control and predictability at high speeds.
Radically different side & centre fin templates create a powerful fin set with ultimate speed & drive.

The H4 fins are a pretty fast fin template. Acceleration is immediate along with immediate response. These fins work great in most average short boards or fishes with moderate to low rocker.
However very sensitive ultra high performance shortboards with heaps of rocker such as the lost whiplash I would not recommend this fin. Using it on a board like this would cause the board to surf too sensitive hence a lack of control which leads to choppy poor surfing style. With a very high rockered board I’d stick with the Channel Islands fin template which offers a great amount of speed and smooths out the ride in ultra sensitive shortboards. I myself however prefer the Channel fin over the H4 because the Channel Islands releases off the top a lot easier due to the smaller middle fin and tapered tips. The H4 I felt would stick to the lip a little too much when trying to blow the tail sometimes. The H4 however surfs as a faster reacting fin to spice up less sensitive lower rockered slower responding shortboards. I’m definitely going to use the H4 fins in my fishes and standard lower rocker shortboards.
Originally bought for overhead waves for my JS FMN at OBSF (beach break), I tried them first on my Pixel Gremlin on smaller days. I end up liking them as much for both boards & respective conditions. I thought "speed AND control" would be bs but this is exactly what those fins provide!!!
I'm able to extend the range up for my gremlin (more control than any fins I own) but also down for my FMN (doesn't have this slow feeling). I recommend 100%!
